Austin Chiropractor: Dr. Brian Clark
Dr. Brian Clark, 4634 W Gate Blvd Austin, TX 78745
As a young kid, age 10, my father became very ill and spent several months in the hospital. He went through months of physical therapy, and during his recovery I would often go to the rehab center to ride the exercise bikes and stretch with him.
I knew at that age I wanted to help people be healthy, I just wasn’t sure how.
Then in high school I began struggling with neck pain and headaches. My best friend’s dad was a chiropractor, so I went to see him. He did an examination and x-rays, adjusted my spine and I felt relief almost instantly. It worked so well for me, and I was so impressed with how healthy everyone was in his office that I decided to become a chiropractor myself!
I began my education at Texas State University in San Marcos studying psychology, then went on to earn the degree, Doctor of Chiropractic from Parker College of Chiropractic in 2006. While in school, I spent my summer and winter breaks in other jobs such as whitewater rafting guide, snowboard instructor and personal trainer, which have all contributed to my ability to help and educate people.
At the end of chiropractic school I wanted to volunteer my time and energy to help others in need and found the perfect opportunity in Mexico City, where I was able to work with a wide variety of people and their health problems. My travels through Mexico taught me valuable lessons that have contributed to my passion for this profession.
After graduation I wanted to start a practice with a positive outlook on health. So I started Discover Chiropractic in 2008 with the goal of helping people to live happier and healthier lives. Even in these uncertain economic times, the world needs chiropractic. People need to know that the key to health doesn’t come in a bottle or pill, or any outside source.
The key to health comes from within.
I take an interest in making sure the community is health minded and educated about chiropractic. I’m on the Board of the Oak Hill Business Professional Organization, member of the Austin Young Chamber of Commerce, BNI 360 and Big Hearts for Brave Hearts.
